The healthcare system is facing an unprecendented crisis, placing immense pressure on nursing staff and excacerbating their mental health challenges.
Despite recognizing the importance of nurses’ mental well-being, creating effective solutions remains difficult. In this context, the EU-funded XR2esilience project aims to harness extended reality (XR) to enhance resilience among nurses.
By integrating immersive XR applications, the project seeks to provide tailored resilience training that can adapt to individual needs. Through a cohort study and analysis of existing data, XR2esilience will identify key resilience factors and assess the effectiveness of XR training. The project will also evaluate barriers to acceptance and provide recommendations for creating supportive nursing environments.
